One County, Countless Opportunities

Early spring sunshine was an added bonus as many of the county’s best-known landmarks and attractions were promoted at the Best of Britain and Ireland Show held at the NEC last week. 3,000 professionals from the travel industry visited the premier trade show keen to seek out tourism destinations and attractions, new venues and locations for business events and major conferences.

The current boom and interest in Heritage Tourism attracted many people to come and find out more about Lincoln Cathedral’s new plans, and how the Lincoln Castle Revealed project is progressing.  Alongside other gems such as the RAF Waddington International Air Show, Gainsborough Old Hall, and Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire, visitors were interested in Lincolnshire’s award-winning food and places to eat, and top accommodation.

A spokesperson from Lincolnshire County Council told HLT – “As one of the nation’s largest and most diverse counties, we’re sure we have something for everyone.  Our landscape, transport links, award-winning food, local economy and history should put us at the top of anyone’s wish-list for great holidays, weekend breaks and days out.”
