Minister visits Lincoln Castle

Ed Vaizey MP, Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, took time out of his busy schedule to visit Lincoln today.

Lord Cormack, Chairman of the Historic Lincoln Trust was delighted to show the Minister the progress on the construction of the new Magna Carta Vault, and to tell him about Lincoln’s plans for the 800th anniversary celebrations next year.

Karl McCartney MP and Councillor Nick Worth from Lincolnshire County Council also took part in the visit, which was completed by a tour of the conservation work underway at the castle, a visit to the Heritage Skills Centre to see the tapestry conservators at work, and a tour of Lincoln Cathedral.
