And so, 2015 is now less than a month away. I hope that many who are reading this message will have been in Lincoln for the Christmas Market. The Trust had a stall just inside the Castle grounds where there were full details of our Pilgrim Badges and of some of the things planned for next year.

Recently we were able to announce the magnificent donation of £1.4 million from the David Ross Foundation towards the building of what will now be called the David P.J. Ross Magna Carta Vault.

 I wish you all a very, very happy Christmas and trust that you will indeed help to make 2015 the Year of Pilgrimage to Lincolnshire and, especially, to Lincoln our great county city. By the end of the year let us hope that more and more people will know of our treasures. Now that we have had such excellent news about improved rail services it is going to be possible for more and more people to make their way here in comparative ease and comfort.
