Lord Cormack’s Monthly Message

On September 23^rd at the county showground there will be a special conference and presentation on Lincoln 2015. From around the county those involved with its promotion and in particular its tourism will be able to hear detailed plans on how the Castle, following its major restoration, thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund, County Council and European funds will be revealed. We will also be able to announce details of a magnificent seven figure donation from a Lincolnshire based foundation towards the construction of the special subterranean vault in which the Cathedral’s copy of Magna Carta will be permanently displayed.

Delegates will be able to purchase the first of the Pilgrim badges which will be a tangible token of Lincolnshire’s Year of Pilgrimage and there will be presentations on Lincolnshire’s Great Exhibition, the Three Choirs Festival and other events planned for 2015.
