Friends of Lincoln Castle turn up trumps
When archaeologists dug up a graffito stone featuring partial names of four convicts, the Friends of Lincoln Castle were quickly able to fill in the missing detail from their convict database.
Joseph Wayman (real name Reynolds), Richard Richardson, William Worsdale and John Trigg, all in their 20’s were all sentenced to seven years transportation, and in 1808 they were sent together to the hulk Captivity at Portsmouth.
