Lord Cormack’s Monthly Message

As June begins the preparations for next year’s great celebrations gather apace. We can now announce that the Three Choirs Festival will be held over the weekend of June 19^th, almost certainly beginning on Thursday 18^th June. It will involve the choirs of Lincoln, Peterborough and Southwell Cathedrals and there will be some very special services, fine concerts and other recitals and lectures etc. A full programme will be ready in the autumn.

Plans for Lincolnshire’s Great Exhibition are also developing in a very exciting manner and I think that we can say without any fear of contradiction that it will be the biggest and finest exhibition ever held in Lincolnshire, and will include some outstanding national and local treasures.

Again we hope to be in a position to announce more details a little later in the year but I can assure you that the announcement will be well worth waiting for, for all concerned with Lincolnshire’s history and Lincolnshire’s future.
