Lincoln Castle Revealed – the final phase

The final phase of works for the Lincoln Castle Revealed project gets underway at Lincoln Castle.

Building work to create the new vault to house Magna Carta, and refurbishment works to the Georgian and Victorian Prison wings are progressing well. The Castle project will complete in Spring 2015, with the subterranean vault ready for Magna Carta, and the special year of celebrations which will mark the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta in 2015.

Lincolnshire County Council has decided to keep the Castle open throughout the building works, and through regular updates, workshops and hard hat tours the public are being encouraged to be involved throughout.
