The Trust out and about in uphill Lincoln

Posted:

Warm autumn sunshine and an abundance of Lincolnshire produce welcomed visitors to historic Lincoln last Saturday. Vintage tractors and Lincolnshire Longwool sheep complemented the displays for the Cathedral’s celebration of Food and Farming, while the Castle opened its gates to the annual Sausage Festival.

Thousands of visitors enjoyed seasonal cookery demonstrations, and entertainment from strolling players while sampling delicious fare produced in the county!

The Historic Lincoln Trust was delighted to meet many people interested in the restoration and archaeological work currently taking place during the Lincoln Castle Revealed project. The response was excellent, with offers of volunteer support and a keen interest to hear more about the project. Thanks for stopping by!
